The National Visa Center is the official institution responsible for all the immigration visa petitions. All pending cases are being retained by the NVC until their adjudication by a consular office abroad.
To track the progress of your visa application, please visit the Department of State’s Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) and check your status.
You may also use the NVC contact phone number 001 603 334-0700 if you wish to receive information regarding your case by phone. This is an automated system, which is available twenty-four hours, seven days a week. However, if you wish to speak to a specialist, regarding your case, the working hours are between 7:30 AM and 12:30 AM. We recommend calling between 8 AM and 10AM as these are the least busy hours.
If you wish to contact the National Visa Center via email you may do so at nvcinquiry@state.gov
As this is the most preferred communication method by the majority of applications, we provide specific instructions, which will help you receive prompt and informative answer:
Do not make queries about more than one cases in the same petition, as this will not be relevant and you might not have your questions answered.
Petitions can also be sent by mail to the following address:
National Visa Center 32 Rochester Avenue , Suite 200 Portsmouth, NH 03081-2914
Important: Do take note of the fact that no meetings in person are allowed for this type of petitions! Communication is restricted strictly to phone, email and such methods.
